I was listening to a song that used these words and was pondering the poem's meaning. Though I am not sure that I fully grasp it, I still wanted to post it...just because I can.

Notice that there are only a couple of words that are actually capitalized in this poem.

28 Hours

28 hours...That's how many hours I technically worked to pay to repair my car today. Of course it's not just my income...if you combine Janell and my hourly rate, we worked about 15 and a half hours to pay it off.

It's almost depressing when you think of how much stuff costs by the time that it took to earn it. "This meal I am eating took about 20 minutes to earn" "What? Those shoes cost 5 hours??!"

It could be worse, but I'm a little down about having to repair my car. I would love to get a brand new car but that will take at least 1,100 hours to get a decent new one (that Janell would drive). :(

Random Thoughtlets:

Today is Janell and my anniversary but we celebrated last night. Tonight is a cleaning night in preparation of the baby shower that is taking place tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to cleaning, but as Gloria Gaynor said I will survive!

I'm a little sad because I have to work on Monday. Everybody that I know has Monday off...I miss working for realtors! They take every possible day off that they can.

Never put eyeglass wipes and wet naps in the same place...One day there will be a mix up and your eyeglasses will smell lemony.

I have a friend coming to visit next month. I'm excited!

My highlighter says it's a twist cap but it's just as easily a pull cap. Is this really such a special feature that they had to advertise it? Eh.

It's hard to fill someone's shoes when you don't wear the same size or style that they would.

I am so tired of the wind! I hate the cold already and the wind just makes it worse!

I feel bad because I keep making up excuses for why I am missing choir rehearsals. I've become what I get annoyed at...but I think it's just because they don't show respect for their choir so I don't feel that I should have to either. I've grown apathetic toward that group anyway.

I need to get a new car. I hate shopping for cars. It's going to hurt my bank account. I can feel it now! OUCH!

I'm sad that Avenue Q is leaving, but I saw it coming. It will be better for them anyway...now they can tour.

It's Friday...Yay! Have a good weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I have no special plans tonight. I have rehearsal tonight. I'm not upset about it though because my anniversary is on Friday and hopefully we will be able to celebrate some time this week.

Everything is hectic right now because we are preparing for Megan's baby shower that is taking place this weekend. Janell and I are "officially" hosting it which means that we have to buy all of the decorations, prizes, materials for games and such. It's hard to do all of this stuff when we are needed in 10 places at once!

I miss the apartment and cats these days. I miss being able to read before bed. Nowadays, I get to bed and pass out because I have to get up early in the morning. *SIGH* Anyway, enough complaining.

Let me tell you all about something semi-exciting. I'm not a big video-gamer but I do get hooked into a game, I am hooked (Final Fantasy, Katamari Damacy[courtesy of my brother])I recently got a new game that is perfect for me! It's called Karaoke Revolution (Party Version). It's really fun to play alone or with a group of friends. It's easier than dealing with big crowds and smokey rooms. You can go head to head against someone and compete for high scores or just sing for fun. There is one game on there that is hilarious. Stage divers that jump when you sing the correct pitch at the right time. I bet Karaoke Revolution would be a great game to play drunk! :)

More winter?!! You've got to be kidding me! Didn't Punxsutawney Phil read my blog? I specifically requested the end of winter! :(
