Crappy Birthday to You!

Yesterday started off great. I was busy at work and time went by quickly. 4:00 comes fast and I am ready to go. I go downstairs and realize that I forgot my cellphone. I run back up into the office and search. I call it, but nothing. Frustrated and empty handed, I return downstairs. I figure that I'll find it the next morning. I get in my car and turn the key but it doesn't turn. It doesn't even try. Instead I hear: *click*. I pop the hood and try to wiggle the battery to get it to work but to no avail. I am frustrated at this point because I can't even call Janell for help. A co-worker sees me and gets help.

I drove home without knowing the time (something that drives me crazy.) I end up getting home at the same time as Janell. She is annoyed at me for taking an hour + to get home and for not answering my phone. After she finds out why, she feels bad.

The rest of the night went fine but it was still stressful for a birthday. I still can't find my cell, which baffles me. I knew I had it on my desk last. I'm pretty sure that it's dead somewhere. :(

Anyhow, I'm sure I'll celebrate more later to make up for the actual birthday. Help make it happen! :)

Okay

It's my birthday. The above pic is my decorated cube. What you probably can't see in this picture is my dancing chicken toy, my GIANT happy face balloon, the Sponge Bob in the Happy Birthday banner and my "My Little Pony" wrapping paper under the chair. The people I work with are awesome :) I didn't expect it at all.


My mom called me this morning and wished me a happy birthday. I told her how old I was and she refused to believe it since she is only "28". Ha.

Now for something completely different.

As of this moment I am in a decent mood (ask me again in an 2 hours when I am just getting home from an hour drive from work.)

My Reasons to be in a Good Mood Today:

It's Friday...duh

Tomorrow is Saturday. That's my day to sleep in.

I have the two coolest Grey's Anatomy episodes downloaded (shh) at home: It's the End of the World {the Code:Black one}& (As We Know It) {Part II}

Work is going great.

It's starting to warm up outside.

The apartment is pretty clean.

My birthday countdown can start tomorrow. lol

Janell got a bonus.

I think we are going to see a drag show this weekend. (anyone wanna go?)


I have reasons to be in a crummy mood too but I don't want to get into that because this is a happy post. I'll complain another time, I'm sure.

I think the quote is pretty self-explanatory.

All of our troubles (and good times) in our past helped to mold us into the people that we are today. Although at the time of a hardship we feel like we can't go on or that things will never get better, they usually do and we are usually the better after it. Some take a bad experience and bury it deep within and try forget about it but there are others decide to take it and learn from it. That's when the metamorphosis happens. Each time we become a little stronger and a little wiser. Only time will tell when our metamorphosis is completed.
